About Tony
I was born in Los Angeles. But I grew up in Carmel, California. I attended Carmel Middle School and Carmel High School during the 1980s. I worked at Katy's Place as a teenager.
I attended many colleges. I started at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. I transferred to Monterey Peninsula College and then to Sonoma State University. I majored in English, with a minor in Philosophy. I married during college. We were both fairly young.
I dropped out of SSU during my Senior year, to pursue Internet jobs full-time. I ran WEBsurf magazine for a while, setting it aside when Borland hired me. After Borland, I joined Actuate. During this point in my career, I also became a father for the first time. And I moved to Silicon Valley. Eventually I hooked up with Sabeer Bhatia (the Hotmail guy). But Sabeer's new company went belly up, so I moved on.
At this point, I run my own Web development company. It's not much, just me and a subcontractor. But it has been great fun. If you'd like, check out my Myspace page, LinkedIn page, and/or fill out my contact form.
