Getting back to healthy, weekend 9
Holy holiday luck! I lost weight, but by everything that is good and righteous, I should have gained weight. I ate terribly and failed to work out. I have to admit that the only thing that kept my weight down is that I have been relentlessly sick for the past two days (apologies to all my family members who read this and realize that I had a holiday dinner with them while I was probably contagious). Well, let's get to the photos.
I ate horribly. I had a couple of fast-food burgers, I had some soda, I had multiple holiday dinners with dessert. And then I got sick and basically starved for a couple of days while my stomach did cartwheels.
My exercise was pathetic! I skipped a few days of workouts because I was lazy from the holidays, then skipped a few more because I was sick. All told, I worked out maybe twice since my last check in. Probably once.
Last week I weighed 185.8. This week I weighed 185.4! It's a miracle.
I'm still looking for suggestions about DVDs to watch while I work out on my exercise bike. I've got maybe 26 episodes of Farscape left. As a frame of reference, I liked watching Alias until the last season, when I got the impression that it was imploding with improbability (confirmed by the utterly awful ending). I liked watching Star Trek (the original series and The Next Generation – but hated Deep Space 9, Voyager, and Enterprise). I guess I could go for more sci-fi, but I'd like to avoid terrible acting (so no Babylon 5).
